Projects
Manager
The Projects Manager
is your first step towards organising your writing activity. Create
new manuscripts or proposals here with an initial status of 'Draft'
and link the record directly to any number of files on your computer.
Once linked, you can simply do all your work from the Projects Manager
- filter to display only those stories of yours that are not yet complete
and open the files directly from Write Again!. Work in your favourite
word processing application while Write Again! lets you track all your
works in progress.

Markets/Contacts
Manager
The Markets/Contacts
Manager is the hub of Write Again!. In this screen, it is possible to
store your writing related organisations, friends, mailing lists, web
links, agents, and more. A Contact is stored in one of five major categories
(Market, Agent, Competition, Web or Other), and assigned a specific
Contact Type within those categories (eg. Small Press, Publishing House,
Mailing List, Web Page, Writer, or anything you define in Settings).
All relevant details for a Contact are stored here, including Genres
and Writing Types accepted by the Contact, mailing details, web links
and e-mail addresses.
You use the Markets/Contacts
Organiser to store and manage all potential writing related organisations,
from your writing critique group to your mailing list to markets to
potential agents or writer friends
Submission
Manager
The Submissions
Manager is the repository for the essential writing information you
need in order to track your career progress. It stores all submissions
you have made to your Contacts, as well as the status of those submissions.
You can define
your own submission statuses in the Settings screen - these statuses
fall into three major categories - Accepted, Waiting, or Rejected. Examples
of submission statuses you may wish to create are 'Awaiting Contract'
in the 'Accepted' category, or 'Market Folded' in the 'Rejected' category.
These customisable statuses allow you to add an additional level to
your submission tracking, far beyond that of simply 'Accepted' or 'Rejected'.
An expected response date is calculated from the Contact's expected
response time and the Submission date, and Write Again! can alert you
to overdue responses on start up, allowing you to make follow-up queries
as required.

or proposals.
- Find your submissions
easily by Project, and view all submission history for that project
at a glance.
- View a Market's
expected response time, and the actual response time of the submission
- use this information to update your markets!

- a system warning if you try to submit a Project to a Market that won't
accept it (Market is closed, Project is a reprint or simultaneous submission,
etc).
- Record Sent and
Received Dates, Submissions Status, Mail Method, Postage, Tax, Miscellaneous
Costs and Income.
Time
Planner (SE
and PE only)
The Time Planner
exists to help you plan submissions and other writing related deadlines
(such as draft copies or closing competitions, etc). Each deadline has
up to two deadline dates and a 'Days Notice' field that allows you to
plan potential deadlines more accurately. For example, a final deadline
value for a competition would be its closing date, but the first deadline
might be the day you want to start writing the submission to that competition
(or finish writing it).
Deadlines can
be linked back to a specific Market/Contact in order to retrieve its
Market End Date values. In the Settings screen, you can allow Write
Again! to notify you on start up about any approaching deadlines.
